CORSA Performance Releases 2007 Hummer H2 High Performance Exhaust System

Combine its rugged handle-anything design with a powerful 6.0L Vortec V8 engine, and there's little wonder the 2007 Hummer H2 maintains it status as one of the highest profile vehicles on the road today. Not much can add to this popular SUV's well-established performance, unless you're talking about an aftermarket exhaust system from CORSA Performance.

Combine its rugged handle-anything design with a powerful 6.0L Vortec V8 engine, and there’s little wonder the 2007 Hummer H2 maintains it status as one of the highest profile vehicles on the road today. Not much can add to this popular SUV’s well-established performance, unless you’re talking about an aftermarket exhaust system from CORSA Performance.

"Some of the General Motors redesign on the 2007 Hummer H2 is aimed at reducing cabin noise, and that’s the major advantage our exhaust system offers," said Ed Burgy, automotive product manager, CORSA Performance Exhausts. "Our patented Reflective Sound Cancellation (RSC) technology eliminates bothersome in-cabin resonance and drone while still providing bold sound at full-throttle and a robust exterior tone at cruise."

The new CORSA Performance exhaust system, specifically engineered for the Hummer H2 and Hummer H2 SUT models, features a straight through, non-restrictive design coupled with the company’s patented RSC technology. This combination creates a great performance sound without drone, increased horsepower and torque along with better fuel economy – perfect for the Hummer H2’s 325 horsepower and 365 ft. lbs. of torque.

Providing a 39 percent gain in flow when bench tested against the stock muffler (as tested by CORSA), the 2007 Hummer H2 exhaust system is available in two cat-back versions:

  • H2-Touring Edition — for enthusiasts desiring maximum performance and greatly enhanced exterior sound quality with a mellow and refined tone
  • H2-Sport Edition — offering maximum performance and a more aggressive, musclecar exterior exhaust note during acceleration

Two brilliantly-polished 4-inch 304L stainless steel Pro-Series exhaust tips are standard on either version of the exhaust system and both deliver the no drone interior sound quality that CORSA is famous for.

Constructed from premium stainless steel, the performance exhaust system bolts directly to the factory catalytic converter and requires no welding. All hardware and a full color installation guide are included.

The 2007 Hummer H2 and H2 SUT exhaust system can be purchased direct from CORSA Performance and through select dealers/retailers/distributors nationwide. It is backed by a limited lifetime warranty, does not void the new vehicle warranty and is 50-state emissions legal.

CORSA Performance also offers a performance exhaust system for the Hummer H3 model. In addition to enhancing the Hummer’s sound quality, its straight-through, nonrestrictive muffler design produces a 20.2 percent gain in exhaust flow when compared to the H3’s original equipment system, according to the company.

Focusing on the development of proprietary technology, CORSA Performance employs patented Reflective Sound Cancellation technology in its performance automotive exhaust systems. CORSA’s 100 percent stainless steel cat-back exhausts are specifically tuned to each vehicle to eliminate passenger cabin resonance and to produce just the right sound. CORSA offers performance exhaust systems and accessories for cars, trucks and SUVs.

This month’s diagnostic journey begins with a 2008 Land Rover Discovery that is taken in to a local testing facility for an emission test and fails due to a series of misfire codes.

Misfire activity is found on cylinders 2, 4, 6, 8 and 3; at first glance this series of codes implies that there may be bank 2 issues, but the cylinder 3 code throws a wrench into that mode of thought.
