Delphi Announces New Oxygen Sensors For Audi, Volkswagen, BMW, Cooper, Nissan, Infiniti, Mazda And Honda Vehicles

Delphi introduces 19 new oxygen sensors
covering more than 1.2 million North American Audi, Volkswagen, BMW, Cooper, Nissan,
Infiniti, Mazda and Honda vehicles from 1995 to present.

The new part numbers include: 
ES11079, ES11080, ES11081, ES11082, ES11083, ES11084, ES20386, ES20387,
ES20388, ES20389, ES20390, ES20391, ES20392, ES20393, ES20394, ES20395,
ES20396, ES20397 and ES20403.

Delphi oxygen sensors provide
contamination resistance to silicone, phosphorous and other fuel and oil
additives due to a patented protective sensor coating. The company’s exclusive
poison-protection coating protects elements from contaminants, which can
trigger “check engine lights” and premature sensor failure. Contaminated
sensors can cause engines to burn up to 25 percent more fuel and send excess
carbon dioxide, hydrocarbon and nitrogen oxide emissions into the atmosphere,
Delphi says.

They also feature OE connectors and wire
lengths within three inches of OE specifications. Nearly three-quarters of the
line is the exact OE length, which means easier installations without splicing
and fewer customer comebacks, according to the company. Delphi’s dry-to-touch,
anti-seize compound means faster installations as well, the company says.

Delphi oxygen sensors deliver the
industry’s fastest light-off time of six seconds. This allows the O2 sensor to
go into closed loop with the ECM faster, reducing pollutants and improving
emissions.

Delphi oxygen sensors feed data to the
ECM, which helps the engine run as efficiently as possible while maintaining
fuel mileage and reducing emissions, the company says. Because the amount of
oxygen the engine pulls in can vary due to altitude, air temperature and engine
load, the O2 sensors optimize combustion by monitoring oxygen levels so the
proper amount of fuel can be combined with the air.
