Installers and Service Dealers Go Off-Roading in an ‘Extreme’ Weekend in San Diego and Mexico with NAPA CHASSIS

Jeff Adams' weekend was Extreme to say the least. "For me, I think the best part of the weekend was the Baja off-road race in Mexico," he said. "Where else can you stand along side a dirt road and watch an off-road vehicle going 80 mph fly right in front of you with nobody bothering you? It's something you can't do in the States."

Jeff Adams’ weekend was Extreme to say the least.

“For me, I think the best part of the weekend was the Baja off-road race in Mexico,” he said. “Where else can you stand along side a dirt road and watch an off-road vehicle going 80 mph fly right in front of you with nobody bothering you? It’s something you can’t do in the States.”

Adams, co-owner of Adams Auto Parts in Wilmington, DE, joined more than 40 other installers and storeowners in San Diego and Ensenada, Mexico, for NAPA CHASSIS’ Extreme SCORE Baja Weekend May 31 – June 3.

The fun began with a private dinner cruise in San Diego Harbor. The group then headed out to the high desert of Ocotillo, CA, to try the off-roading experience firsthand where they rode dirt bikes, ATV’s and dune buggies over some of the biggest jumps the desert has to offer.

On June 2, the group moved south to Ensenada, Mexico, to see the professional off-roaders start their engines and tackle the Tecate SCORE Baja 500 Race. Many winners even got to wave the green flag to start the trucks on their journey.

NAPA CHASSIS is now in its second year of sponsorship with SCORE (International Off-Road Racing), North America’s premier off-road racing series. The nine winning installers and their NAPA servicing stores are:

“On behalf of NAPA CHASSIS I’d like to congratulate all our winners who joined us on the Extreme weekend,” said Vickie Lehar, NAPA marketing manager. “I think we designed a trip that they’ll be telling their family and friends about for years to come. We know we’re able to offer the best chassis parts and best promotions because of the support we receive from customers like them.”

Karl Klamm will be telling his family and friends about getting behind the wheel of a dune buggy and flying over jump after jump.

“The best part of the trip for me was getting the hands-on experience of driving a 4-wheeler dune buggy in the desert,” said Klamm, owner of Alignment by Klamm in Racine, Wis. “The trip was a once-in-a-lifetime deal. I’d like to thank NAPA CHASSIS for running an outstanding promotion that allows us to get great parts and win trips like this.”

Installers received entry forms to participate in the Extreme SCORE Baja Weekend by purchasing quarterly Extreme assortments throughout 2006 and earlier this year and several thousand entries were received.

The origins behind the Extreme campaign are simple — revolutionize the way NAPA CHASSIS conducts business by highlighting components such as training, testing and engineering, all of which go into manufacturing and installing chassis parts that far outperform the competition.

NAPA CHASSIS is a leading supplier of chassis system components supplying the automotive Aftermarket. The brand is available at the more than 6,000 NAPA AUTO PARTS Stores nationwide.
