Magid Glove & Safety Manufacturing Company, LLC, a leader in the personal protective clothing market, recently completed a brand makeover for their RoadMaster line of protective gloves and gear for automotive repair and maintenance. This new look includes an updated logo, a bold color palette and design elements that bring fresh energy and excitement to the automotive tool department.

Targeted packaging, cross-merchandising and the right assortment are the keys to successful automotive glove sales.  Magid Glove & Safety understands this well – their updated RoadMaster packaging was developed with extensive consumer input to appeal to the automotive aftermarket consumer and significantly affect impulse sales.

The new RoadMaster packaging features fresh dynamic graphics and highlights the glove material, key features and benefits, as well as a few tasks most suited to that style. The updated design communicates functionality, performance and value to the aftermarket consumer.  Product details placed in a prominent position help customers easily compare items and encourage impulse purchases.  In addition, color callouts on bags and boxes help the consumer to differentiate between disposable glove options.

With the help of Design North, a strategic branding and packaging design firm, the new colors and design elements were chosen to reflect current market trends.  Gigi Cohen, executive vice president of Magid Glove adds, "With a modern and updated look and feel for the RoadMaster brand, we hope to enhance our name recognition, consumer preference and better reflect our current customer base within the aftermarket.”

Magid’s new packaging (which includes tags, bags and boxes) was carefully designed to also meet the merchandising and display needs of aftermarket retailer.  The 2-way layout of the disposable glove box design allows it to be merchandised both vertically and horizontally. A variety of merchandising and promotional vehicles, along with the RoadMaster collection, will be offered to retailers nationwide.
