SKF Adds 18 New Differential Kit Part Numbers To Its Drivetrain Product Line

SKF has announced the addition of 18 new part numbers to its line of SKF differential kits. The new part numbers, available in either a standard kit (prefix SDK) or master kit (suffix MK), include a range of rear differential kits for Chevy/GMC, Cadillac, Dodge and Ford applications.

TRW To Launch All-Makes Premium Chassis Program At AAPEX

TRW Automotive plans to use this year’s AAPEX show, Nov. 5-7 in Las Vegas, as a platform to announce the launch of an all-makes premium chassis program into the North American aftermarket. According to TRW, this move will further support its position as the global leader in automotive safety. Chevy Cruze Alignment Pointers

The Chevy Cruze uses a semi-independent twist-beam rear suspension axle like on the Cobalt. The axle assembly attaches to the underbody through a rubber bushing and bracket located at the front of each integral trailing arm. The brackets are bolted to the underbody side rails. The axle structure itself maintains the geometrical relationship of the wheels relative to the centerline of the body.

Superspeedway, and crew chief Frank Kerr picked up his first MOOG Steering and Suspension “Problem Solver of the Race” Award in Sunday’s Camping World RV Sales 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup contest. Gilliland and Kerr finished seventh, giving the Front Row Motorsports team its second straight top-10 finish at Talladega.

Reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Brad Keselowski overcame a slow start to capture his first win of the year, and his crew chief, Paul Wolfe, kept his hopes alive in the battle for the $100,000 MOOG Steering and Suspension “Problem Solver of the Year” Award in Saturday night’s Bank of America 500 at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway. Wolfe’s call for four new tires during the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford’s final pit stop proved to be the difference maker and ultimately helped the crew chief earn his third MOOG “Problem Solver of the Race” Award of 2013, moving him into a three-way tie for second place in the year-end MOOG standings.

Jeff Gordon and the MOOG Steering and Suspension-equipped No. 24 Axalta Coating Systems Chevrolet SS overcame tight handling to finish fourth in Sunday’s AAA 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup contest at Dover (Del.) International Speedway. Following the race, Gordon’s crew chief, Alan Gustafson, was named Federal-Mogul’s MOOG “Problem Solver of the Race” based on the 24 car’s race-best 0.025-second-per-lap improvement over the final 200 laps of the “Monster Mile.”
