Electronic Specialties, Inc. introduces a new product – the 590TRMS True RMS Automotive DMM. This is a professional-grade automotive DMM utilizing the True RMS method of measuring accuracy. 590TRMS combines the most relevant automotive test functions with very high accuracy standards.
590TRMS has 15 testing functions, including Ms-Pulse Width, for testing the on-time of fuel injectors. It also features a desirable 20 amp test range, which allows higher current measurements.
590TRMS features a huge 2-inch high LCD display with backlighting. The digits are large enough to be seen from across the service bay. Other noteworthy features include Auto Power-Off, built-in Temperature in F & C, and RPM readings for conventional and DIS ignitions.
Technicians can use the frequency readings to test crankshaft and camshaft sensors as well as MAF and MAP sensors. In addition, the duty-cycle setting can be used to test feedback carburetors and idle air control motors.
Among its testing capabilities are: DC/AC volts, dc/ac amps, resistance, ms-pulse width, temperature (C and F), rpm, dwell, frequency, duty cycle, capacitance, continuity and diode test.
The 590TRMS includes the following accessories; probe-style test leads, alligator clip test leads, temperature probe, rpm pick-up and zippered storage case. The unit comes with a one-year warranty.
