Take the Guesswork Out Of Voltage Readings With New Snap-on Digital Display Circuit Tester

The new Snap-on Digital Display Circuit Tester (EECT400) has an LCD display that provides a "no guess" voltage value of the circuit and a backlit LED that indicates red for power or green for ground.

The new Snap-on Digital Display Circuit Tester (EECT400) is a perfect example of how customer connection combines with Snap-on technology to result in an innovative new product.

“After evaluating market needs and seeking input from our customers to understand their approach to diagnosing electrical problems, we developed the EECT400 Digital Display Circuit Tester,” said David Brekke, category manager for Snap-on. “The EECT400 is designed so that technicians can use it to easily detect voltage, ground and circuit integrity. It is a standout in the market because it features the DC Voltage digital display of a multimeter rather than a dimming/brightening indicator light.”

The new Snap-on Digital Display Circuit Tester (EECT400) has an LCD display that provides a “no guess” voltage value of the circuit and a backlit LED that indicates red for power or green for ground. It provides surge-protected +-0.3v accuracy from 3 to 19.99v, plus the computer safe <10mA circuit draw allows for confident testing. With the EECT400, technicians will have one hand free to wiggle wires, replace a fuse or operate a switch.  Another important feature is a solid copper clip for maximum electrical signal transfer.

“Circuit testers are one of those basic tools that every technician has in their box. It is the first tool they go to when faced with an electrical problem such as a break or short,” said Brekke. “After working with our customers, we learned what is important to them and incorporated those attributes into the EECT400, making it easy to read if they are working outside in the sunlight or inside under the vehicle.”
